Tidal Wave – Abyssal Resilience is a surreal depiction of an ocean reclaiming a submerged urban landscape. The shattered geometry of once-thriving buildings now cradles vibrant marine life, symbolizing nature’s unyielding adaptability. Towering coral structures emerge from the ruins, their vivid reds, yellows, and blues contrasting the muted tones of decaying concrete. Schools of colorful fish weave between massive sea creatures, including a majestic humpback whale, a graceful sea turtle, and a speckled manta ray, each navigating through this aquatic rebirth.
The fractured panels of the composition evoke a fragmented memory of civilization overtaken by the deep sea’s serene dominion. Ivy and algae creep along sunken structures, blurring the line between nature and human creations. Bioluminescent hues emanate from the corals and jellyfish, illuminating the abyss with an ethereal glow.
This artwork speaks to the resilience of life and the cyclical relationship between destruction and renewal. Despite humanity’s absence, nature thrives, weaving beauty through what was left behind. “Tidal Wave – Abyssal Resilience” is a poignant reminder of the ocean’s enduring strength and adaptability in the face of environmental challenges. The painting invites viewers to reflect on coexistence, responsibility, and the hope found in nature’s persistent reclamation.
CONCEPT
The main idea behind the drawing was to display the consequences of climate change on our world, if we do not intervene. I wanted to use a more modern form of art to connect to a larger and more relevant audience. I was inspired by cubist artists, such as Pablo Picasso and Robert Delauney, in order to display the concept in a unique and eye-grabbing way.

ARTISTIC PROCESS
The artwork was created digitally, using techniques such as contrast of color and lights & shadows, to create a dynamic artwork to further enhance my concept.
